COB offers more than $524,000 in undergraduate scholarships annually and more than $300,000 in graduate scholarships.

The Miller School of Entrepreneurship can help introduce your ideas to the community and mentor you through the entire process. The annual Pirate Entrepreneurship Challenge provides prizes worth more than $170,000 in cash and in kind services to winning entrepreneurial ideas. Accounting

The BSBA in accounting prepares you for a career in corporate accounting, government accounting and internal auditing. This gives you an excellent foundation for other areas of business as well as graduate studies in topics such as business administration, public administration and health care management.

Entrepreneurship

If you intend to start your own business or buy an existing business, enter a family business, or pursue an entrepreneurial career in any size organization, you should consider the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship degree. This program emphasizes experiential learning and provides you the opportunity to learn how to launch your own business in the capstone course.

Finance

Are you interested in financial management or in providing financial services to individuals or organizations? The Department of Finance and Insurance can prepare you for careers in managerial finance, banking, financial services, business law, real estate, and insurance.

Our two concentrations – Finance and Risk Management and Insurance – can prepare you to enter fields where you can apply financial concepts to solve problems and find solutions.

Hospitality Management

Our School of Hospitality Leadership is the largest of its kind in North Carolina and one of the largest in the southeastern United States. If you have an inclination toward hospitality or the tourism industry, our BS in Hospitality Management will allow you to focus on food and beverage management, lodging management, or convention and special events management. Our goal is to educate you to be a leader in this fast-growing industry.

Management

Concentrations: Management, Human Resource Management (HRM), International Business, and General Business

The curriculum provides a solid business core that will help you learn management skills in concentrations of Management, General Business and International Business. Graduates have employment opportunities in a wide variety of supervisory/management positions.

Marketing

Concentration: Marketing

If you’re interested in the intersection of creativity and business, marketing just might be the ideal field for you. Our marketing graduates hold successful careers in advertising, sales management, business marketing, research, distribution, retail management, product planning and international marketing.

Chandler Ward, Business administration in finance with a minor in composite natural science, and Savannah Slade, Business administration in marketing, are the former president and vice president of ECU’s Student Government Association. Their business backgrounds taught them how to serve and engage students.

Supply Chain Management

The Supply Chain Management degree program is designed for flexible learning in the areas of sourcing, operations, and logistics. Graduates in SCM have career choices as managers of purchasing, distribution, inventory, logistics, operations, quality, and supply chains.

At the College of Business, we understand your education and experience are not confined to the four walls of a lecture hall.

Our academic advising center not only provides information on degree requirements and majors, it can be your liaison with campus resources. Our advisors are here for you to reach out to and lean on anytime.

Like the university, the College of Business is committed to giving you opportunities to study abroad. Each year students leave East Carolina University's campus – and the United States – to experience life abroad while continuing their studies and participating in unique learning opportunities through study abroad programs. ECU currently offers around 250 programs in more than 66 countries. Plus, we have scholarships available to those students who need that extra help to experience the world.

The Cunanan Center for Professional Success provides personalized coaching and support to undergraduate and graduate business students. Our Employer in the Foyer sessions can connect you with future internship and career opportunities.

We also provide support when it comes to interview preparation, resume review and job search. The Career Center is there for you, and we encourage you to take advantage of it.

Our students have a sense of community and pride and want to give back. The college will give you an opportunity to take your education and provide services that will benefit those organizations and individuals who need extra help.

The College of Business has 20 student organizations where you can join other students who have interests similar to yours. These organizations cover all of the business disciplines available at the college and give you networking opportunities to meet with alumni and business execs who are leaders in their field.

You will learn leadership and real-world business solutions in our programs. You will develop professionally and personally with our transformative coursework that will put you on a career path to success.
